Kaya Magee: Mothers Day Ikebana (May 11, 2025)

$110.00

MOTHERS DAY IKEBANA
SUNDAY, MAY 11TH
1-3PM

Join Kaya Magee of Momo Global Flowers for an afternoon learning about Ikebana, traditional Japanese flower arranging. An ancient art, both sculptural and meditative, we will learn about Ikebana’s rich history with a focus on the Ichiyo style (natural style). Kaya will provide all the materials and special spring branches and blooms needed to create our own Moribana, the cornerstone form in Ikebana arrangement.

Kaya is the owner of Momo Global Flowers, a magical 20 acre biodynamic flower farm in Jeffersonville NY. She holds a masters degree in Ikebana and has extensive, impressive experience arranging across the world, from Coco Chanel Couture in Paris to floral grandeur in the MET Museum. We are so grateful to Kaya for bringing her love of traditional Ikebana, local Catskill-grown flowers, and her amazing international experience to Sullivan Public for such a special event on this special mama day.
